SWRI collaborated with climate change experts at the James Hutton Institute to gain insights into the potential impacts that future climatic conditions might have on barley growing in Scotland. The results of this study helped us anticipate the research required to maintain a sustainable supply of high-quality malting barley for future whisky production.
